Ayrshire pop-punk trio Biffy Clyro are currently working on their fourth album, the follow-up to Infinity Land, one of Kerrang!'s albums of 2004. The band formed in the late '90s and released their first EP, Thekidswhopoptodaywillrocktomorrow, on the Electric Honey label following many months of playing the local Glasgow club circuit. The band were signed by Beggars Banquet following a storming appearance at the unsigned bands tent at T In The Park in 2000.

Their first release for the label, 27, made Single Of The Week in Kerrang! in 2000 and their debut album Blackened Sky appeared the next year. After some more touring - including a support slot with Weezer - the follow-up Vertigo Of Bliss was recorded in a single day and caught the atmosphere of their raucous live shows perfectly.

Biffy's heartfelt take on rock is designed to challenge their audience, as Simon Neil explains. "It's not about being awkward, but when we listen to music, we want to be challenged a wee bit. "That's the problem with a lot of music, when you listen to the first 15 seconds of it and you can tell how the song's going to end. We want to make things interesting as opposed to challenging."

"This tour means a lot to us," bassist James Johnston grins. "Kerrang! has always supported us and it's a real privilege to be part of this. We're very excited to be headlining and we can't wait to rawk! We feel most at home on the road, so it's great to be going on tour again. There are people all over the country that we can't wait to see, so roll on the New Year!"

THE BRONX

Joby K. Ford - guitar
James Tweedy - bass

They're not from the Bronx. They're from Los Angeles and got together in 2002 over a love of punk and hardcore rock'n'roll. The quartet were offered deals after playing just two shows, but they instead hooked up with former Guns N'Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke to record a demo and slapped the resulting MP3s on their web site at the tail end of 2002. Their new album, simply titled The Bronx (and not to be confused with the 2004 debut of the same name), sees the band move to the Island label and their latest single is the storming White Guilt. Their UK label Wichita claim they're "the first band to bear comparison to [seminal US hardcore trio] Hüsker Dü and not look ridiculous".

"We suggested to the Kerrang! staff that they visit the mystic that The Bronx consult on a weekly basis," jokes guitarist Joby K. Ford. "At first they were sceptical, but then we told them about the taco stand next door and they were sold! And we got the Kerrang! tour. Good thing we slipped the mystic $20!"

Seth Johnson - Guitar
Timmy Klepek - Guitar
Joe Lussa - Bass
Ryan O'Connor - Drums

Danceable pop punkers theAudition have been doing their thing since 2003, when O'Connor and Lussa got together in the suburbs of Chicago. Shows with the likes of June and The Academy Is... and a demo tape of memorable songs meant that the band came to the attention of Victory Records, home of Aiden, ??? Losing their original singer soon after, they came across Detroit resident Danny Stevens, whose heartfelt vocals hit the spot. With the addition of second guitarist Timmy Klepek, the line-up was complete. Their debut album, Controversy Loves Company, was recorded in New York in 2005 with My Chemical Romance and Brand New producer John Naclerio.

I'm so stoked that we're able to be a part of the Kerrang! Tour," says Stevens. "It's such an honour that fans in the UK would want to have us back! Expect some crazy shit from theAudizzle! See you in January!"

Forming in Long Beach, California in 2004, goth metal crew I Am Ghost first made a splash on the internet, selling 20,000 copies of their debut We Are Always Searching after playing just four shows. The band were guests on the 2005 Warped Tour and have now taken their dreamlike mix of aggressive punk and dark beauty to another level with the new album Lovers Requiem on Epitaph, which opens with a baroque Latin chorus and then breaks loose into a full blown rock opera.

"We are so excited to play this tour," says Juliano. "We're looking forward to meeting all of you. Our live show will be something unique and inspiring."Fans of My Chemical Romance and Evanescence should arrive early and check 'em out.
